Learning Log 2 : Superstitions

Superstitions in the 17th century are way different than superstitions in the modern times. Superstitions in the 17th century are way more scarier than superstitions in the modern times.

Superstitions for Malay in the 17th century are like for example;
- Do not open an umbrella in the house or snake will enter the house.
-Ladies are not supposed to sing in the kitchen while cooking or she will marry an old man.
-Do not sit on the pillow or your buttocks with boil.
Those are the examples of Malay superstitions in the 17th century.

Superstitions for Malay in the modern times are like for example;
-Kids should not raise their legs when lying on their front as it might cause their mother to die.
-Do not whistle in the house or it will bring bad luck.

People these days don't really concerned about superstitions especially all the teenagers. They think that it's just a joke. Different races have their own superstitions but for some of the superstitions are similar to all races. Most people today do not really care much about superstitions. As what i know, some of the superstitions are not really real. All of these superstitions are made by our great grandparents.
